Free party on Friday
I've had a lovely day making a fishy backdrop for the Nitro / UpFM free party on Friday. Making decor in bright fluoro colours brings out my inner child. Under a UV light at night, the colours come alive.

Digital Distribution
Chelfyn was in the Amplifier newsletter today. It's a really good site where you can buy CDs and digital tracks from New Zealand bands. Sites like this are the future. Why press vinyl or make CDs when you can distribute digitally? I used to believe that no-one would pay for anything online. Apple has shown us the way. Their iTunes music store has proved that people will play for digital tracks, with 8 million paid for downloads in their first 8 weeks.

Home with the Whanau
We're back in New Zealand now and it's good to be home with the Whanau. Everyone has been busy - Justin Sane and Taz have become the New Zealand representatives for Tidy Trax. They're also putting on another Nitro free party at Cube on the 5th September. Their new Keep it Tidy Show will be broadcasting every Saturday night [from 6 - 8 p.m.] on UPfm.

There's been more changes to the UpFM Saturday lineup. Dodgy Sam and Kells are doing a new Frequ-e radio show [Saturday from 8-10], and our TMet Show has moved out of the graveyard shift and into the 10 - midnight slot. The radio shows will be a lot more fun now the UpFM studios have a groovy new text machine called Cletus. Finally we can tell that there is life out there on the airwaves and that we've not been talking to ourselves. Jarra got over 300 texts in last Friday's drive show which was a record and the live stream has been getting busy with hits.

We're totally stoked that Chelfyn has been asked back to play at the next Wonderland on the 17th January 2003. After having such a great time at the last one there is no way we'd miss the next. Check out the Heloid website for upcoming Wonderland news...
