Lots of love,

Dodgy Geezas
I've just had my first strange request. Someone emailed me to ask for a photo, so I sent this one of myself & Mistress Dirtbag at Nitro.
The reply was "thanks for the photo. have you got one of your bed/pillow?" which is a little weird. Stranger still, the one photo I have of my bed has three men in it.

This beatbox a capella piece got sent to me after putting a shout out for tracks on our show. To be frank the first two minutes are very average, but about a minute from the end you get a moment of pure genuis. Ladies and gentlemen I give you - The White Stripes.

Fury over New Zealand Government's geothermal stance
"The Government is under fire for holding back development of renewable geothermal energy by charging hundreds of thousands of dollars for access to data from exploratory drilling carried out from the 1960s to the 1980s. "
Surely this should be a matter of public record if the data was obtained with public money? The soooner we give up our dependence on oil the better as we'll have to eventually. If you are wondering about the effect on New Zealand of climate change, a useful site to visit is 4 million careful owners. It explains how every Kiwi can make a difference, starting now. The Germans are already well on their way to being self sufficient in terms of renewable energy.

MsBehaviour's Wicked Strobing Penis
The best thing about becoming a sex toy tester is that it really makes your partner up their game. As the husband put it, “I’m not going to be outdone by plastic phallus.”
My current vibe is a ‘Rabbit’ style knockoff, like the vibrator Charlotte gets addicted to in Sex and the City. I bought it on a budget and it’s been a disappointment. It has an overpowering raspberry tinged smell. All of the vibrations are in the clit tickler (which isn’t very powerful) and the rotating end makes a horrible grinding noise. Neither the husband or I have used it that much, and it’s been relegated to collecting fluff in my undie draw. I’d give it a 2/5 on the Orgasmometer scale.
Anyway out with the old and in with the new. Thanks to the lovely people at Video Expo, the Twisted Mistress and I will be working our way through their Sex Toy Collection, and writing our special in depth Good Vibe Guide.
The Wicked Strobing Penis
The “Wicked Strobing Penis” is a techno blue vibe with a pronounced vibrating bell end, and ribbed shaft with strobing lights. The lights are useful for finding it in a dark bed, and it could also double up as a kinky glow-stick to take out clubbing as it glows under UV. It also gives great neck and back massages. The Wicked Strobing Penis gets an extra mark for being Waterproof and is now known as my Bath-time Buddy.
Appearance – Groovy blue with ribbed shaft and strobing lights
Power – Strong and controllable by twisting end. Vibrations go all the way through the shaft to the bell end.
Noise – It won’t wake the flatties up. Reasonably quiet on low and not too loud at full speed.
Smell - The smell is neutral, light and inoffensive.
Size – around 6” for internal play.
Quality – Well made and built to last.
Extras – Waterproof for bath time fun.
Orgasmometer – 4/5
Mistress Dirtbag's 7" Nubby
The first vibrator I ever got was when I was about 18. It was a gift from a friend and it was the scariest thing I have ever laid eyes on! It was a pasty white colour, about the size of a small rolling pin. It was a joke but it got me interested. I have had a couple since then, but I found that they were all pretty stock standard, not a lot of thought in the designs. Now, however, there are some really creative designs in the shops, and what luck for MsB and I that the lovely folk at Video Expo are helping us work our way through their Sex Toy Collection, so that we can write our special in depth Good Vibe Guide.
The 7" Nubby
The 7" Nubby has a fluorescent yellow see through outer covering, with a bright orange vertebrae inside. As the colouring is so bright, it damn near glows, so this is a plus for in the dark action. It has a powerful motor that gets its humming from tip to tail. The vertebrae is by far its most exciting feature. This vibrator can bend in multiple directions, so you can position the shaft to hit all the right spots externally and internally all at once.
Appearance - Bright yellow and orange, adjustable vertebrae inside, and 50 lovely "nubs" on the outside.
Power - Strong and controllable by twisting end. Vibrations go all the way through the shaft to the end.
Noise - This one sadly will wake up the flatties. The motor is rather powerful and has a very loud buzz.
Smell - The smell is neutral, light and inoffensive.
Size - 7"
Quality - Well made and built to last.
Extras - Multi directional vertebrae in shaft
Orgasmometer - 4.5/5
Both available from - Video Expo

![]() | 'If you take your fun seriously....' begins the media blurb for this 48 hour non-stop party at Golden Bay, north of Nelson, from December 31 to January 2. With more than 70 'DJs, VJs and live acts 'presenting the finest trance, house break dub and downbeat in New Zealand', you better be ready to zone in (or maybe out) for a cosmic experience that harks back to the big music events of the seventies and eighties - but thankfully without the alcohol.
This is the first Full Circle, although it has its roots firmly in parties like 1994's Entrain, The Gatherning last held in the mud in 2001 - and the more recent Visionz. It's a much anticipated party and for those with stamina it promises to be well worth making the trek to attend. The site is the same as The Gathing occupied - the beautiful Cobb Valley, near Takaka, complete with bush-clad hills and a river. You can now camp onsite and there will be outlets selling food, coffee and non-alcoholic drinks. The lineup includes Antix, COSM and Ozone, DJs Mr Oz, Chelfyn, Justin Sane 'and the cream of the New Zealand dance music scene' Tickets are limited to 2000 and cost $120. They are available through The Hemp Store (Auckland), Cosmic Corner (Wellington Christchurch, Dunedin), Invisible (Takaka), Gizmos (Nelson) and Flurmo (Motueka). The World Wide Whine
I've been Blogsurfing and it really is the World Wide Whine out there. The amount of angst and navel gazing is incredible. Apparently the term for this is 'blogorrhea' -incessant prattle about your jerk boss or second-rate love life. I've also realised that I can't penetrate TXTspeak as some of them are completely unintelligable. But I did come across this gem:
"I have jusT c0mp|eteD my GCE 'O' Level & now currEnt|y l0ok|n9 foR a job."
In what pray - Jour4L15M?

That's one giant leap for Kiwi kind
It's been a great day for New Zealand today. Ahmed Zaoui our long term detainee has been freed on bail and the Civil Unions Bill has been passed. So obviously the Gay Eaters for Jesus had more sway with the good lord than Paul Adam's hunger strike. Tomorrow is also the day when we can breathe easily as clubs and bars become smokefree. Yippee.

The K'Rd Carnival - soggy but fabulous
It was the K'rd Carnival on Saturday. A bit of a washout unfortunately as it was pissing down all day, but the floats and performers that braved the rain were awesome. The Mistress and I were stoked to meet the gorgeous Georgina Beyer who we're hoping to get on a Resurrection Breakfast show soon.
She's the world's very first Transexual MP and has a very colourful history which was covered in a documentary: "'Georgie Girl' is both a chronicle of Beyer's daily life as a Member of Parliament, and an account of the journey that took her from farm boy to cabaret performer to community organizer to national leader."
We also have a Rastafarian in the New Zealand Parlimament, the lovely Nandor Tanczos who represents the Greens.

The Oneness of Brian Tamaki and Beelzebub
New Zealand may indeed be paradise on earth but in any paradise you'll find a snake or two. Like Brian Tamaki our very own Kiwi fundamentalist Christian with his right wing church of Destiny. Or The Church of Density. They marched recently in Christchuch, all matching outfits and right armed salutes. The most sickening thing was that they'd even dragged their kids along. When one moppet was asked why they were there they sheepishly admitted "I don't know" before being ushered away.
A Kiwi muso (lets just call him anon) has made a track called 'The Oneness of Brian Tamaki and Beelzebub'. It's a classic piece of satire, and therefore perfectly legal. One of the big commercial radio stations bottled out of playing it, in case they were contacted by Tamaki's lawyers. So in steps the Mistress. She's been playing it on her Resurrection Breakfast shows and it's kicking off a right wing storm with some classic comments at her blog.
Why is it that right wing fundies:
a. can't spell
b. always resort to threats and personal insults
"I am disgusted that radio would play this rubbish. But what would one expect from someone called 'Mistress Dirtbag'? You and Anon and his slut fan can burn in hell."
Mmmm. Toasty. I think I may be the slut fan being referred to which is ironic, as I've been happily married to Chelfyn for nearly 5 years.
The thing that is really bringing the crazies out of the woodwork is the current debate on the civil unions bill. New Zealand is proposing to let same sex couples be 'unioned' in the eyes of the law. I think it should go to a referendum. Too many politicians let their personal faith get in the way of representing their electorate. Paul Adams, a New Zealand politician is actually on hunger strike for the next month so that God will prevent it. For real. At least in New Zealand it's unlikely the votes will be rigged.
Update: The Oneness of Brian Tamaki and Beelzebub is now available to buy online from TMet Recordings

Kiwi download label celebrates 1st birthday
TMet Recordings New Zealand’s digital dance label is one year old on the 1st December, and is riding the growing digital download wave. To celebrate this milestone they have an upcoming release in December by Baxter, one of the biggest names in the Kiwi dance scene. Baxter’s mix CDs have reached platinum sales in New Zealand and this will be his debut release.
Other artists that have signed to the Kiwi download label are Javed Haider, winner of the Heineken Found at Thirst NZ competition in 2003, andy qroniq & The WBC, Blazem, Culprit, Chelfyn, Echo, Kyren, Les Filterbrats, Liquid Underground, Mr Sketchy, Nub, Romantech, Ryan Tregurtha, Si-Fi, State of Mind, and Waterboy. TMet’s goal is to help Kiwi producers onto the first step of the international ladder, and their youngest producer Lync is only 8 years old!
TMet Recordings are also pleased to announce two new additions to the TMet Whanau (Maori for family). Mistress Dirtbag (Twisted radio’s breakfast bitch) is helping Chelfyn & MsBehaviour with core TMet operations, with Justin Sane (Tidy NZ/Fragile) providing support on the A&R side.
Taking the collaborative approach to growth, TMet have established joint ventures with a number of Kiwi cluster partners over the past year such as Twisted (www.twisted.co.nz) a New Zealand dance community & radio station, and Data:Bass (www.databass.tk) New Zealand’s cheeky Drum & Bass Collective.
MsBehaviour, TMet’s Managing Director says, “TMet’s growth is testament to the power of the Kiwi creative collective. The sum is greater than the parts.”
One of the world’s first Open Source download labels, TMet Recordings was launched in December 2003. Tracks are available to buy online at www.tmet.co.nz (as highest quality 320kb MP3s) for NZ$3 (US $1.99) a download. TMet sign their artists on a track by track, non exclusive basis and with 3 clauses probably have the shortest recording contract in the world.
As MsBehaviour says, “we’re musos and we wrote a contract for musos. This is a new millennium and we’re going to do things our own way. Artists can self publish without the need for the majors, and through the TMet Collective we can help get them noticed.”
TMet pay 50% of the profits from sales direct to their artists. No DRM, No rip-off – just great Kiwi music. So if you’re into dance or electronica check out the latest offerings from New Zealand at TMet Recording’s New Releases page: http://shop.tmet.net/products_new.php
Chelfyn, Mistress Dirtbag and I are celebrating TMet Recordings' first birthday. We started the day with a special TMet Resurrection Breakfast on Twisted, before stuffing our faces with cakes at the studios all day. It's been (another) crazy year. We've been poor in money but rich in time, creatively fulfilled and really happy. I'd like to thank all of TMet's producers for believing in us, to Mistress Dirtbag, Justin Sane, Taz, the Twisties, our whanau and everyone else who has supported us in this crazy endeavour, and for all the people worldwide who have bought our music online in the past year. Cheers!

Cheers!
