Fury over New Zealand Government's geothermal stance
"The Government is under fire for holding back development of renewable geothermal energy by charging hundreds of thousands of dollars for access to data from exploratory drilling carried out from the 1960s to the 1980s. "

Surely this should be a matter of public record if the data was obtained with public money? The soooner we give up our dependence on oil the better as we'll have to eventually. If you are wondering about the effect on New Zealand of climate change, a useful site to visit is 4 million careful owners. It explains how every Kiwi can make a difference, starting now.
