I have decided at the ripe old age of 33, to put down my mental glowsticks. I will never lose my love of dancing or the sound of a 303, but it's time to step aside and let our young crew drive things with their energy. Since we handed over the TMet Recordings reins to Justin Sane in May, he's already got our new hard dance tracks to the top of the Tidy Trax & Trackitdown charts in the UK. The current hot release off TMet is the Nitrate EP by our Christchurch producers Focus & Crisis, who are still in their teens.
From this month's indies.co.nz newsletter:
"TMet Recordings followed up their May UK Number 1 with their second international release, 'The Nitrate EP' by Focus, which is currently sitting at Number 2 on the Trackitdown international hard dance chart . Antipodes Digital, run by Justin Sane from TMet Recordings, launched its debut release Broadband on Trackitdown with South African producers Interphaze."
Now that Justin has gone full time on his radio, label management & DJ career, he can do whatever he wants with his hair. He's currently sporting an orange & purple fin, while Chelfyn has shaved of his distinctive orange crest in preparation for some new fun with the Fudge Paintbox. The Mistress is trying out new Fudge shade 'Vendetta Red' while I'm trying out aq new Blueberry Hill crop.
What should Chelfyn paint on his head for our new Zeitgeist VODcasts? email me at msb@tmet.co.nz with suggestions.
