The Laws of Urban Creative Energy

This excellent article from Psychology Today reports on how multi-national urban environments create innovation. As Richard Florida put it in a 2005 speech:
"The world is not flat... there are two dozen spiky"—that is, particularly creative—"places in the world that account for 98 percent of innovation."
Apparently diversity of ideas, density and social spaces are most important for the cross-pollination of ideas and inspiration, and creating a culture of innovation.
