No Marketing Required

I came up with another answer to get rid of a telemarketer, who just called and asked to speak to the Mohawk Media Marketing Manager. I told him truthfully, that we don't have a marketing department let alone a manager of one as we don't need one. When he asked why, I said "we do radio shows instead of marketing"

After all the main point of marketing is for people to have heard of you, and with six national shows a month on Kiwi FM and Radio New Zealand there's no need for us to spend money on advertising. I also blog, podcast, write columns and speak at conferences to raise our profile. That's how a modern company does marketing.
